A little while ago, I had to spend a lot of time away from home (no direct connection to my XPC), and as such purchased an Elgato EyeTV Diversity for watching DVB-T TV on my Macbook Pro while I was away from home. ![]() I also have a couple of Macs (iMacs and Macbook Pro), and installed XBMC/Kodi on the Mac and connecting to my XPC PVR backend, that worked. I've also managed to install and use XBMC/Kodi as my HTPC Front End with TV-Server as the PVR backend. I have a Hauppauge HVR-3000 PCI Hybrid tuner card installed in the XPC, and it worked fine in MP. I've been a long time MediaPortal user, and my MP setup was on a Shuttle XPC, running Windows 7, MP v1.10.0. Not sure if you are still looking for answers to your query above, but just thought I'd share my experience. This is a bit of a long post so please bear with me. I'm still a bit new to media servers so, any help is appreciated.Firstly, my apologies for such a late late reply. The only solution I can think of is recording TV programs to a directory accessible by Jellyfin, but I want to figure out ways to stream live from the server. Other than the EyeTV app, I haven't found anything on the Mac that was able to catch the device and stream the channels caught by the tuner.ĭoes anyone have an EyeTV Hybrid tuner or a similar ATSC USB TV Tuner integrated in their Jellyfin setup or any other other media server setup? If so, what programs or any other tools did you use to extract MPEGTS streams from a USB TV tuner? Does anyone know how I can somehow access the streams from the tuner outside the EyeTV app and somehow put it into my Jellyfin media server setup? Even with an app like VLC to begin with. The reason I came here for help is because I know Eye TV Hybrid Tuner is similar Hauppauge products and I was hoping maybe I can get some help from here.Īt first, I thought NextPVR would be a suitable software to stream the ATSC channels caught by the USB TV Tuner stick but, it wasn't able to catch the EyeTV device. However, these streams are only accessible locally to view on the Mac and, I want to watch these streams throughout my network instead on other local clients and somehow configure them into my media server Jellyfin setup. ![]() Recently, I got an old EyeTV Hybrid Tuner set up on my Mac attached with an antenna and I've been able to watch and record digital satellite TV just fine with the EyeTV 3 application. Hello, I am currently using my 2010 Mac Mini with macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 as my local media server.
